Christmas Bazaar, 2010

Every year the Overseas Women’s Club in Bengaluru organizes a Christmas Bazaar. It’s always great because each year new entrepreneurs, new agencies and new, very talented people come here to show their work. This year wasn’t any different. And it was doubly nice because we saw some favourites – The Red River, Varnam, Glasshopper and more. The wallet feels a lot lighter even before you can notice! but it was worth it :). Met so many people who had lovely stuff to showcase. Hope to get their details up here too, soon.

Here’s a quick pic tour from yesterday…

quirko and chumbak

Chumbak funky! (The Quirko store selling Chumbak). Divya did a post on Chumbak recently here.

varnamKarthik of Varnam. A completely new and surprising range of home linen with the unlikliest of fabrics! Karthik uses sarees and blouse material to create such vibrantly coloured cushion covers, door and window curtains, and table runners. He blogs about Indian textiles and design here.

srianvi

SriaNvi makes and markets home linen in eco-conscious fabric. The owl was damn cute!

kilimsGorgeous Kilims! I want to hang one up on a wall, when I can afford one 😉
