In keeping with the enthu at The Keybunch’s Diwali carnival, here’s hoping you folk had a safe and fun Diwali! It’s ending on a very very wet note here in Bengaluru… what rains! Its helped keep the pollution level down though I think, and that’s always good.
Starting with a diya
My fave lamp
Threaded chandu hoovu, mallige and light
-Lilies and gerberas..loved the pink!
tea light holders from Meena
Meena’s diyas 🙂
Katte holder again
Meena’s and Hema’s diyas
One of my dear friends gifted me a lovely set of diyas and and a pair of candle holders shaped like ‘tulasi kattes’, traditional pots made for the tulasi plant. So yes, the Diwali prep is on! Thanks Meena :).
The only reason I like Diwali is that it gives me an excuse to light up. The healthy kind, that is. I bought these painted glasses ‘coz they looked great for chai. They even came in one of those wire chai holders.
But they look beyond wonderful with tea lights in them…perfect for Diwali! I think I’ll paint some more jars I have at home!
Pics below are by Chirag. Thanks as always, Chirag!
Every Diwali, almost every Indian home has lights in such glowing forms and shapes. Here are a couple of pictures from Diwalis past in my home…
